More photos of Kamryn

I did a little photo shoot of my friends little girl today and since I had it set up I took some of Kamryn. What a doll!

Kamryn- 7 Months old

Since I had everything set up to do Kolby's drum photos (see post below) I thought I might as well get some photos of my little girl Kamryn! She is doing so good and has started to be mobile, she rolls and rolls and rolls until the gets where she wants and she is getting fast at it...it's probably because of all the times Kolby rolled her across the living room floor...she has experience :)

And I had to take a couple of photos of the two of them...Kolby was done at this point but I bribed him with Oreos :)

My Litttle Drummer Boy

For Christmas Kolby got a "real" drumset from his Papa (Jenkins)...He plays them almost every day and is acutally pretty good for a 2 year old. For some reason, the sound of the drums doesn't bother me (probably because of all the times I had to listen to my dad playing them, I learned to tune them out while I played with my barbies) and I always know where he is when I hear the sound of them!

Me & My Kids

For fun this weekend, I had Deven take some photos of me and the kids...I am always the one behind the camera and therefore I never have any photos that include me!

Baptism

Today I witnessed my sister Kelli get baptized at Christ the King in Bellingham. It was a very emotional, brave act of obedience to our Lord and I am so proud of her. She loves the Lord and I believe this act has brought her even closer to Him and will give her more strength, courage and wisdom as she tries to live her life the way He wants her to.

Acts 2:38
"...Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

These are the most beautiful photos I have ever taken- witnessing her sins being washed away was so powerful and moving. The man in the photos is my dad and he was able to participate in her baptism...obviously from the photos, you can tell it was an emotional experience for him as well. I love you dad :)

Old Photos

Here are some old photos: The first one is of Deven and his Dad (Fuzzy) I think Meri Lou (Deven's mom) said Deven was probably 2 1/2 in the one photo and the 2nd photo is of Deven, his brother Derek and his dad...I am guessing he was around 11 yrs old here but I could be wrong...I love the photo of the three of them!

Randi's Baby Photos

For Christmas I got a new printer/scanner and today I finally took the time to use it :) I scanned photos of Randi as a baby...She is so adorable, I hear her nickname was spike because her hair stuck straight up and no matter what, Tarah (her mom) couldn't get it to stay down!

All The Little Things...

Today I read Natasha's blog(mother of baby Case, who passed away a few weeks ago to SIDS)and again my heart aches for her...She and her family are constantly in my thoughts and prayers...as we all continue with life, she is searching to find a new "normal" without her sweet baby Case. I can't imagine her life will ever feel "normal" again and she will never be the same. Her heart will be scarred deeply and only her faith will bring her comfort. Every time I hear the song "Praise You in This Storm" by Casting Crowns I think of her.
Her tragedy has made me stop and love, appreciate, value and soak in every single moment and experience I have with my kids. Every little piece of their being is sacred to me. From their sweet, innocent blue eyes to their cute little curled toes...I love every part of them more than words can describe. I take a few seconds longer to watch them play, talk or coo, smile, look at me...whatever they may be doing, I watch them with new eyes...
Tonight they took their nightly bath and I took some photos of Kamryn...as I was having my little photo session in the hallway (so I could still see Kolby) the little boy managed to grab the whole bottle of bath soap and dump it in with him...SO many bubbles!
Kamryn had her 6 month check up today and she is very healthy! 75 Percentile for weight, 60 Percentile for height and 70 Percentile for head...she is a big girl :)

The cutest moment of all was when I was putting Kolby to bed tonight(Deven's dad, papa Fuzzy, passed away 15 years ago but we like to show Kolby pictures of him and talk about him so that Kolby knows about his amazing grandpa). As Kolby is laying in bed, he asks me "Where's dada?" I told him he was working. Then he said, "Where's papa?" I said, Papa is at home...he said "Nooo, where's papa Fuzzy?!" I said, Papa fuzzy is in heaven with Jesus and he is watching over you making sure you are ok...Kolby sat up and looked around the room and yelled "NO PAPA FUZZY!" He thought papa fuzzy was in the room watching him! I started to laugh and cry...it was so cute!

Anyways, I will leave you with some adorable photos of Kamryn after her bath...

Kolby and His Best Bud Fuzzy!

Kolby and Fuzzy run around the house playing all the time...Fuzzy tolerates a lot of rough love...I sometimes have to seperate the two of them because they cause a bit of trouble during the day sometimes :)

Kolby Ben

I thought I should give a little update on my little man...he is growing up so fast. He talks so much(he is saying real sentances and communicating so well) and has such a strong personality. He is very confident and loves to entertain but if he feels he is being laughed "at" not "with", he will get very shy and bury his face into whatever is closest to him to hide. He still tests his limits every day in almost everything he does but he is starting to respect his boundaries a bit more. As long as he is given a warning and we begin the countdown, he usually stops by 3...still exhibiting his stubborness by waiting til the last moment but at least he stops :) He is always busy and has been fighting nap time more than ever. He knows his colors and has started to count more often...Him and Randi counted to 10 the other day in spanish! He is very smart and aware of his surroundings. His 2 favorite cartoons are Dora and Diego and I love watching him watch them because they are interactive cartoons and he suprises me all the time by answering their questions...the wheels are definately turning fast in his little head. Every day brings something new and fills my heart with joy and happiness...he is a challenging child but the reward is so great! I took some photos of him today and bribery worked great! I will leave you with the latest entertaining moment by Kolby....
Deven got home from work on Friday and Kolby ran to the door and greeted him right away...Deven said "Hey Bud! How are you? Were you a good boy today or a pain in mommy's butt?" Kolby replied "uh...pain in mommy's butt!" with a huge smile on his face...Deven and I just cracked up! It was the cutest thing ever (and he was right:) )!
